Join us in Hollywood at the Historic American Legion Post 43 for an afternoon of music by the 17-piece Big Band Alumni plus vocalists Bill A. Jones and Nancy Osborne. It’s Father’s Day! Bring your special one to enjoy big band swing in the Cabaret Room of this historic venue built in 1929. The fun begins at 2pm and goes until 4pm. Free parking. $20 cash at the door.

Big Band Alumni Tuesday Morning Rehearsal and Swing Dance with Special Guest Lynn Keller Baygan

Tuesday morning the Big Band Alumni, 17-piece big band of Los Angeles, rehearses from 11am to 1pm at the Canoga Park Elks Lodge with vocalists Bill A. Jones and special guest Lynn Keller Baygan, a passionate big band vocalist, Lynn has performed with ensembles such as The Flight 584 Big Band conductor, John Mitchell, The Woody James Legacy Big Band, and Pat Longo’s Hollywood Big Band. Her father, Art Depew, the legendary trumpet player and conductor of the Harry James Orchestra, introduced her to big band music — a love that has only grown stronger. Together, Lynn and her father recorded Notes From My Father (2015,) a heartfelt collaboration of big band and small combo arrangements. In 2025, Lynn completed a new album, My Man’s An Undertaker (2025.) It’s playful a nod to the darker side of the jazz club. Lynn now carries forward her music legacy with joy and dedication.”
