The Big Band Alumni was swinging today. The band began rehearsing tunes for the upcoming Big Band Holiday Show to be held at the Historic American Legion Hollywood Post 43 from 2-4 pm Sunday afternoon December 10th 2023.
Nina Herzog Wows The Crowd
Nina Herzog, the singing and speaking voice of Odette, The Swan Princess, in Sony Animation’s “The Swan Princess” series was our guest female vocalist this morning at our dance rehearsal. She wowed the crowd with her beautiful singing voice.

Thank you for coming out to the show this past Sunday. It was a full house and the band was swinging. We honored our Veterans. A very special fan of the band came out too, Bazooka Joe who is 104 years old, and he is a WWII hero. He is doing something right and we are honored at his presence. Do join us next month for a very special A Big Band Holiday Christmas Show.
Big Band Alumni Salutes Veteran’s at Hollywood Post 43, Sunday, November 12, 2023
Join us this Sunday, November 12, 2023 at the American Legion Hollywood Post 43 for the Big Band Alumni with vocalists Bill A. Jones and Nancy Osborne for an afternoon of music and dancing from 2:00 – 4:00 pm in the Cabaret Room. We will be paying tribute to Veterans as this weekend is their celebration. Come on down and join us at the historic Post 43, free parking in the lot, $20 entry.
Tuesday Morning Nov 21 Limited Parking
Tuesday morning, November 21, 2023, parking at the Canoga Park Elks Lodge will be limited. The parking lot is being rented out for an event leaving 35 spaces available. If possible, please plan ahead and carpool to the rehearsal/dance on this day. The band will be there for the usual rehearsal/dance. We hope to see you there. Call a friend and rideshare on this day.
